dating girl taller than me

As 2022 draws to a close, I’m reflecting on this year of incredible personal growth. I’ve always known that I’m here to educate. When I was little, I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Then in college, I wanted to teach at the college level. After graduating with a Master’s in Applied Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, I applied to a few Ph.D. programs. I didn’t get into the one I wanted. As fate would have it, 21 years ago, I married my best friend, Michael, and we began a family. I’ve been raising four amazing humans and studying personal development to become the most authentic version of myself ever since.

Thanks to authors Eckhart Tolle and Michael Singer, I woke up to the fact that being present is the best way to live authentically. Tolle says, “enlightenment is not something you strive to achieve: You do not reach it by gaining anything, only by stripping away the ego’s unnecessary thoughts and negative energy. Enlightenment comes only through being in the Now and keeping the ego at bay.”

Friends, we are not simply humans here to go to school, get married, start a family, raise kids, work, go on some vacations, then retire and die. We are souls who came here to learn, evolve, and have so much fun while doing it! I’m not saying it’s easy. There are dark times, but there are so many more joyous times in each moment you do the work to become your most authentic self.

Emotional Wellness Coach

This year I’ve worked through releasing hundreds of negative trapped emotions. I started working with Lindsey Little and decided to become a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner just like her. I’m a practicing Emotional Wellness Coach, and I use all the information I’ve learned over the last three decades to help others. Everything is energy.  By tapping into the subconscious mind, I can effortlessly locate and release stuck trauma and negative emotional energy in the body.  Most of the time, this process will alleviate physical pain, shift toxic patterns, release limiting beliefs, remove energetic blocks, and align you with your authentic self.

We are here to love one another just as we love ourselves. I’m finding most of us weren’t taught about self-love and self-care. We are taught to give and give and give. Especially moms seem drained by the demand of their significant others, work, friends, and children. As we age, we take care of elderly parents too. Now I hear we are currently living through a “tripledemic” winter with RSV, flu, and covid hitting at once. Use the oxygen mask on you, and then you can take care of those around you!

Tired of Being Sick and Tired

Many are sick. Many are tired. It is time for everyone to wake up and see that there is so much more to this life than making money and spending it. We are here to help ourselves and others become more aligned with our authentic selves. When we die, our souls go on. Earth is a temporary learning ground for us to experience intense emotions. We are here to feel ALL the feels, to love and forgive ourselves and others, and for soul evolution.

I recently heard someone say, “you have made it when you speak 3 languages and play golf on all the elite courses worldwide”. I beg to differ. You have made it when you have tremendous love and compassion for yourself and those around you. When you give more than you receive and spend quality time with people in an open, honest, genuine, and caring way. Life is about love, kindness, forming quality relationships, and having fun on this wild ride called life. We are only here for an average of 80 years, and then we turn back to dust. Let’s focus our intention on what matters most; only you can decide what that is.

Be Fearlessly Authentic

Be Fearlessly Authentic

I am a firm believer in the fact that everything happens for reason. Everything from the people you come in contact with, the smiles you share with a stranger, the kind words you share with a friend, and the choices you make that are based on the experiences you have had. By being fearlessly authentic, we allow ourselves to be open to the good and the bad as it comes.

Every day we each make 1,000s of decisions. What to wear, what to buy, what to say when asked a question, what to eat, whether to laugh or cry? The list goes on and on.

In the past, I struggled with buyer’s remorse/decision remorse. I would second guess myself. Well, not anymore. I decided that making an educated decision about something and then going with it, is the better way for me.

Worrying Does No Good

Burning all that energy worrying or wondering if the decision you made was good or bad is just simply that: a waste of energy. Therefore, it’s best to make a decision and go with it. I’m not saying that you can’t make a different decision down the road if more informationĀ or experiences lead you to change your mind. That’s fine.

I believe we all share this space on Earth to learn and grow, and my goal is to become better each day. Also, I feel my purpose is to educate, inspire and enrich the lives of those around me. I am intentional to be fearlessly authentic with those I meet and share a conversation with.

My friend and Pastor’s wife, Susan, who is one of the most down-to-earth people I have ever met in my life, told us a “secret” one day. In fact, she does not sugarcoat her challenges or the fact that life isn’t always easy. Susan is real, and she is a truly genuine being.
